Very Fast! We are capable of delivering up to 60 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload wirelessly. The specific speed we can provide is based on your location from the tower. Actual speed is determined when we install but we never install if we can’t deliver at least 10 Mbps download. If you happen to be in a neighborhood planned for fiber we will be able to deliver 100 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload.
For wireless internet service we do not have any kind of contract requirements. However we are installing fiber optics in certain neighborhoods and these locations will require a contract.
Currently we are serving Big Lake, Becker, Zimmerman, Monticello, Elk River and Otesego. However, we need “line of sight” from our tower to your location so we always do a “site survey” before we provide service.
Most of the time we need to mount the dish on your roof however, all we need is line of sight to our tower so if you have line of sight in another location we can mount it there. For example: we have mounted our dish on a pole several hundred feet away from the home. We have also mounted our dish on a tree, a shed, the side of a house and even the ground. Our installer will provide as many options as we can find at your location when we arrive to install.
It usally takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete your install. Install would consist of mounting the dish, programming the dish, running the cat5 cable into you home and programming your router.
Yes. We do not use modems but to have a wireless environment such as Wi-Fi in your home you will need to have any basic wireless router that connects to a Ethernet port. Any older router will work but we also have them on hand with our installers. We sell them for $50.00 and you can choose to buy them when we are installing. No need to spend hundreds of dollars for a fancy router.
Our entire system is automated so all you have to do is insert a credit card onto your online account and you are all set! Our system will charge your card once a month and send out warning emails if your card is going to expire or the transaction was not able to process.
